Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Well this post has been long overdue! We’ve had a lot going on the last couple of months but I think we’re finally settled! We moved just after the New Year and I have to say I really hope we won’t be doing that again anytime soon! We were very lucky that we got two really nice weather days in January, which was a blessing. We had great movers, which made the move feel less stressful. Emotionally it was tough. It was a bittersweet move. We really loved out third floor, walk-up condo but with only 2 bedrooms and just over 1,000 square feet, we were busting out of the place. I think I ugly cried twice on the day we left. We’d lived in our condo for 12 years. Probably 5 more years than we should have.

Now we’ve been in our new home for just over 2 months and it’s starting to feel like ours. It has been so great to have room to store our stuff and room to move around and most of all…..we no longer have to walk up three flights of stairs! Carrying groceries into the house has become pleasurable. I doubt that feeling will last forever, but for now it’s fun!

The kids are slowly getting settled too! My oldest was very excited about the prospect of having her own room. But now the reality of sleeping alone in her room at night has set in. In one word….SCARY! Both girls have been sleeping in our bed since we moved. Now the fun job of getting them back into their rooms is about to begin. Both hubs and I can’t wait to get a full nights sleep without a foot in our back or a hand in our faces.

In a nutshell, we’re almost settled and really started to feel like our new place is our home. I’m hoping to carve out more time for writing and

having more time for the things I love! And most of all I’m really looking forward to not having to share a room with 2 kids!

xoxo
